Hungwe Wire & Rope was established in 1921 as Haggie Rand, to produce and supply wire ropes & used in Southern Africa
The company has factories in Zimbabwe, producing high carbon wire and strand, steel wire ropes, fibre products and twines. Hungwe Wire & Rope Pvt Ltd was incorporated in 1958 as African Wire Ropes ltd and traded ad an indent agent and representative for high tensile steel wire ropes. With a reputation built on trust and performance, Hungwe supplies ropes with confidence to a variety of industries with a variety of purposes.

Hungwe Wire & Rope is a member of Shepco group of companies owned by Shepco Holdings. We are headquartered in Bulawayo with factories in Kwekwe, with Sales & Distribution Offices in Southern, Central, and Northern Regions.
